CHVM Hospital in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne is recruiting doctors across multiple specialities.
Situated close to world-renowned ski resorts and outdoor recreation areas, our peripheral hospital serves a growing local population as well as seasonal visitors throughout the year.

Centre Hospitalier Vallée de la Maurienne

Located in the Savoie region, in the Maurienne Valley - a mountainous area stretching over more than 120 kilometers - the CHVM is a public hospital institution (492 beds and treatment places, 650 staff members) providing a comprehensive range of local healthcare services, including : Emergency Department, Mobile Emergency and Resuscitation Unit (SMUR) by road and helicopter, General Internal Medicine, Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery, General and Digestive Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics (Level 1 Maternity Unit), a Medical Care and Rehabilitation Department (general rehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, geriatric rehabilitation, and sports medicine), Geriatrics, Home Nursing Care Services, Hospital-at-Home care and a Mobile Palliative care team.

  • Radiology (comprehensive diagnostic imaging equipment, including CT and MRI scanners)
  • Internal / General medicine (30 bed ward)
  • Medical specialites (mixed ward work and outpatient consultations)
  • Orthopaedics and General surgery (important winter and summer activity)
  • Anaesthetics (no intensive care work)
  • Oncology (day hospital)
  • Rehabilitation (large paramedic team and balneotherapy)
  • Accident and emergency with the possibility to join the mountain rescue team

Our arrival package

  • A motivated team to assist with relocation end integration, including registration with the “Ordre des Médecins de Savoie”.
  • A bilingual doctor available to help you with administrative procedures and support on arrival
